The Prom Portrait Session is a relaxed outdoor shoot designed for 1–5 teens, perfect for friendship groups or solo portraits. This session gives teens the space to laugh, twirl and show off their outfits while capturing natural, joyful memories ahead of the big evening.

Don't worry, I've got you. Here are answers to some popular questions.
That’s completely normal. Most teens tell me they “hate photos” at first! These sessions are very relaxed and informal and I never expect anyone to know how to pose. I’ll gently guide them into natural positions and keep things light and easy so it never feels awkward or forced. Because the sessions are short and often done with friends or family nearby, teens usually relax quickly and parents are often surprised by how much they end up enjoying it.
For Prom Send Off sessions, they’ll already be dressed and ready for the big night so the focus is simply on capturing them looking their absolute best before they head off. For Prom Portrait sessions, they can wear their prom outfit or choose something else they love. Some teens bring a second outfit for a few different looks. Simple, comfortable outfits always photograph beautifully and neutral or soft colours tend to work best outdoors. If they’re coming with friends, coordinating colours (rather than matching exactly) can look lovely in photos.
Absolutely! Parents are more than welcome to join a few shots if they’d like. Often, the little added family moments make the photos even more special and they love seeing their teen looking so grown up in the dress. Including parents in a few images also helps teens feel more comfortable, which means the rest of the session flows even more naturally.
Definitely. Friends make everything more fun! For Prom Portrait Sessions, you can book a small group of 1–5 teens together. Having friends there helps everyone relax, laugh and feel natural in front of the camera. Plus, group sessions are a lovely way to create memories teens can share and treasure long after prom night.
