Your wedding day is one of the most special days of your life
~ and you’re sure to have a few questions as you plan.

Let me be a trusted member of your wedding planning team - after all, I've attended quite a few!

BUT FIRST, LET'S TALK ABOUT "THE MAGIC."

~ When the golden light perfectly illuminates the edge of her face.

~ When the breeze lifts a veil and the light shines through.

Sometimes the wedding photography gods shine down on us

and I'm there, ready and waiting to capture that moment.

~ that’s when magic happens

But I'll let you in on a little secret...

...as any magician knows, magic doesn't just happen!

Planning, forethought, timelines, location

scouting and styling all come together to create it.

I bring the magic ingredients to every wedding I undertake but

the vulnerability to show your true love,

the intention to be in the moment and fully present

and the trust to let me be my most creative self

are all down to you my friend.

Tell your full story in the most beautiful way

ENGAGEMENTS

One of my absolute favourite ways to get creative is at the engagement portrait session.

The possibilities are endless, with destinations, couture fashion and aesthetics uniquely tailored to your story and your love.

We'll spend time researching the best location possible - somewhere thats important to you as a couple ~ so that we can tell your story in the most unique and visually beautiful way.

You will receive guidance on locations, art direction, styling and logistics for an incredible experience in your portrait session and an option for exquisite custom albums.

The process...

The consultation...

If you think we are a good match, contact me to get the process started.
We will do a video call consultation ~ or even, meet in person now! Yay!! I'll explain the whole process and answer any questions you have.

We'll talk about all the details: date, time, location, theme / colours, type of photos you like and more. If you want to go ahead and book me as your wedding photographer, you just pay the deposit fee and your date is booked in my diary!

We can then arrange the date for your awesome engagement shoot where you'll get used to being in front of my camera ~ and gain some beautiful, relaxed couples images.

The wedding day...

I'll attend from bridal prep to well into your evening party, capturing all the intimate, fun, beautiful, joyous moments throughout the day, in a non-intrusive, non-posey way.

By this point, I'm your photographer, confidante, wedding planner and friend.

The gallery reveal...

That first week after the wedding is pure anti-climax. So what better way to overcome the blues than by viewing some sneak-peeks. I'll get these up on my social media pages within a couple of days.

You can expect the full gallery review between 6-8 weeks after the wedding. I will come over to you, share all your images and help you choose the right images for your album / wall art if your package includes them.

Sally made us feel so relaxed ... We were brought to tears, reliving every moment... all the moments we will cherish forever. Thank you Sally, you're the best!

Frequently Asked Questions

The engagement shoot

This is where we get to know each other. It is my job to help you feel relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera. Most of my couples tell me they feel uncomfortable having their photos taken, even the ones in my portfolio, who look super chilled out. But with gentle direction, no obvious posing and nothing cheesy, you soon forget this is a shoot and relax. We'll go somewhere pretty, explore, chat and shoot. This is when we get some really beautiful images. On your wedding day I don’t want you to have any doubt whatsoever in my ability, personality or the images I'll capture. This is too important to get wrong – hiring your photographer is not a tick box exercise – make sure you get the right one for YOUR day! (And of course, these shoots are really AWESOME! ~ what's not to love?)
Your engagement shoot (and all edited images) is totally, 100% complimentary, included within your wedding package.

The wedding planning starts here!

I often get enquiries for the same date, so whoever puts down the £500 deposit first (or gives me the best compliments) gets the date!
Of course. I'm covered for public liability and professional indemnity and all my equipment is insured.
Travel is not included in the pricing for my collections. As each wedding is unique, I love to learn about your destination and celebration before we discuss travel plans. I'll then customise a quote based on the location and number of shooting days. The travel quote is added to your selected collection and I'll handle all of my own travel arrangements, unless otherwise directed.
You’ve got enough on your plate ~ my thorough and detail oriented approach ensures you’ll have more photos than you could ever need or want, but I do recommend bringing to my attention any special people, planned moments, or unique details you’d like to capture that I might not know to anticipate. On your wedding day, please have the rings, dress, shoes, jewelry and any other heirlooms you’d like in the photos in the bridal suite. I'll spend the first hour of my coverage shooting your details and final hair / makeup.

On the BIG day…

I'm pretty good, but unfortunately I can't control the weather! However, worry not! We can actually use the rain to our advantage and get some gorgeous images, using the mood and puddle reflections.
This is what the engagement shoot is for! This is our time to get used to each other and work out how to get the best out of your shoot. After this session, you will love the camera! I always tell my couples that come the wedding day, you won't be thinking about me and my camera. You'll be enveloped in the emotions and flow of the day. I tend to take mostly candids to document your day in a very pure way. There will be a few posey photos, for example, the formal group shots and your couples time but honestly, by that point in the day, you will be used to me being there and I'll even let you have a drink before we start the formals ;-).
I don't like to tempt fate but I am very rarely ill. However, it is important to have a back up plan for this unlikely event. Only a very serious illness or actual broken bones would prevent me from shooting your wedding but if I am unable to attend I will do my very best to find you an awesome replacement photographer – I have a brilliant network of photographers I can contact so fear not.
Of course! These are really important, but I promise I won't take you away from the fun for too long ~ my couples normally ask for 4-6 groups.
I have a very hands-on approach to setting up a wedding day timeline ~ my goal is to ensure that you have the best natural light for every part of your celebration. (I am happy to work with your planner - if you have one - to give you plenty of time to capture all of your desired portraits and photographs throughout the day, with buffers to ensure you have a smooth and enjoyable experience). I will perfectly balance art directing, styled detail shots and portraits, and capturing the moments that happen organically through photojournalistic coverage. The end result yields a beautiful balance of people, details and emotion.

Once the excitement wears off…

I remember very well the immense excitement of wanting to see your photos after the wedding. So you’ll get a sneak preview a few days after your wedding to tide you over and get you excited for the rest. I then aim to have the photos uploaded for you around 6 weeks after your wedding. You’ll receive your photos via an online gallery, where you can view, share, download and print your pics.
I'm quite obsessive about back ups! I have back ups of my back ups and cloud copies uploaded within 24 hours of your day.

Products. Pricing

Included in the package price, as standard, is: - an engagement shoot with your fiancée, including all edited images. ~ full day coverage, from start to finish. I will arrive at your bridal prep in the morning and I will stay with you until the evening party is in full swing. ~ all edited, high resolution digital files, on an online, password-protected gallery. all consultations and a pre-wedding venue visit; ~ an extra special, highly emotive highlights film of your day. Extras: ~ a second shooter is HIGHLY recommended. Whilst I am with you, covering the morning Bridal Prep, my second shooter can travel to the boys and cover their merriment. This means you will both get to see the emotion and joy of each others wedding day start. Not only this, but during the day, my second will be able to capture different angles, perspectives and more candids whilst I do the formals. This way, we don't miss a thing. From £199
I take thousands of photos during the day. Once back at my computer, I go through and choose the best, most emotive and genuine images for your gallery and edit these. But don't worry, you will have 600+ images to remember your complete day by.
You will receive all edited images in a high resolution file, via an online gallery that you will then be able to download to your computer. You can print them and put them all over your walls (or you can purchase beautiful, hand made wall art from me). But PLEASE send me a picture of your wall of images because this makes me so happy.
Absolutely! I strongly believe that your beautiful images always look better on paper than a screen. The albums I create are huge, with thick layflat pages, stunning colours, and leather or linen covers. This is not your average print-and-stick-in album. You can add an album at any point. Albums start from £349 and I can provide gift vouchers should your guests or loved one wish to purchase these as a wedding gift.
If an album is included in your collection, you will receive a first draft approximately 8 weeks after receiving your images. I will custom design and lay out your album drafts to best narrate your wedding’s beautiful story. When you receive the first draft, you have the opportunity to make revisions. These may include swapping images, omitting spreads or adding spreads. Once you have approved your draft layout, I'll edit the images for the last time and send you a final PDF to approve before proceeding to production. You can learn more about the albums and handcrafted products I offer here.

What happens now?

Connect with me and maybe we can have a Zoom call or a chat on the phone. I’ll help you decide how much coverage you need and can also suggest fun things for your wedding day because I LOVE all things wedding. If you book me, you'll have an extra wedding lover / expert / planner on hand all day!
Great photos, great photographer. Very talented and gives brilliant advice. A very personal service. It felt like your full attention was on us, not just during the wedding day itself but before and after.

Wedding Day Tips

Work with a skilled wedding planner

Weddings are once-in-a-lifetime events filled with elegant details, timelines, loved ones, and lots of emotions. A wedding planner can take your vision and enhance it beyond what you can imagine, allowing you to enjoy the stress-free wedding day of your dreams.

I work closely with my couples’ wedding planners to ensure I am afforded the opportunity to capture all the beautiful elements of your wedding day. Photographing your wedding is much more efficient and smooth when I work with a talented planner, as I am able to focus solely on creating captivating imagery while the wedding logistics are safely in their hands.

Don't skip the engagement session!

Photographing destination weddings means my clients live all over the world. Most often I do not have an opportunity to meet in person during the booking process. An engagement session is the perfect chance for us to get to know one another, for you to feel comfortable in front of the camera and for you to experience being photographed together.

I find that an engagement session helps my clients feel more at ease on the big day. Furthermore, engagement sessions are a lot of fun and an excellent opportunity to create amazing and adventurous images without the restrictions that a wedding day can bring.

Know the sunset times for your day

I like to discuss photo timelines early in the planning process to maximize my opportunities for creating stunning images. I prefer to photograph all the important details of the day (details, decor, and all portraits) in natural light where possible. Together with your wedding planner, I'll build your timeline around the best natural light to ensure your day looks wonderful in the photos you’ll keep for a lifetime.

Know the sunset time for your wedding day and ideally visit the location the year prior to see the light throughout the day. This will aid in selecting the optimal ceremony, cocktail, and reception times.

Create a realistic timeline

Keeping to a wedding timeline is a key factor for maintaining a relaxing and photographically productive day. Things like delayed hair and makeup can drastically change the day’s schedule and impact your time for portraits prior to the ceremony. (I highly recommend a hair and makeup trial prior to the wedding.) Adding buffer time (up to an hour) around the important elements of your wedding preparation allows for delays. The best case scenario is that you finish on time and have a moment for a glass of champagne before the ceremony.

Tip: When alerting the family and bridal party of their times to be ready for portraits, give a time 15 minutes prior to the start of portraits to ensure timeliness.

Choose somewhere beautiful to get ready

The first few hours of wedding photography take place as you get ready. Whether you choose a bridal suite, hotel room, or other location to prepare for the wedding, consider the backdrop for these images. This location is where I'll photograph the majority of your details and initial portraits. As such, I recommend selecting a spacious, open location with ample natural light and similar decor or feel to your wedding so the images flow with the rest of the day.

Details matter

Please prepare all of your wedding details in advance for photographing while you’re getting ready. These details include the full paper / invitation suite in perfect condition with your preferred calligraphy / addressing / stamps, welcome bag, favours, all paper products, dress, shoes, all wedding rings, flowers, perfume and any other details from your day that you would like photographed.

I love to style still life shots, especially with meaningful elements that you provide. Consider family heirlooms, jewelry, ribbon, fabric and other items that can enhance your images. Please have your wedding and bridal details in the bridal suite where you’re getting ready so I can capture them when I arrive.

Consider an un-plugged wedding

Mobiles and iPads create a significant obstacle for me at your ceremony. I always find that at least one guest will try to capture your nuptials with a phone, tablet, or their own camera. These devices end up in your wedding photos and create unsightly distractions while blocking the faces and emotions of you and your guests. The best photojournalistic images of your wedding come about when your guests put away their devices and watch the ceremony with their eyes and hearts.

Tip: Consider asking your officiant to make an announcement just before the start of the processional to request that guests put away their cameras and devices and be present during the ceremony.

Enjoy (& trust me!)

To ensure we are the perfect fit for one another, it’s very important for me to get to know as much as possible about you and your wedding day prior to booking. I love learning about both of you, your personality, your family, and your background so I can get a solid sense of your love story and who you are. The joy is that after the experience of your engagement session, you will know what to expect on your wedding day. It’s now time to relax and enjoy

~ be yourselves and leave the rest to me!.
